Falling Follies

2026, videogame

A playable speculative world by Vassilis Krikonis and Maria Paneta

Falling Follies is a digital environment staging an
ongoing cycle of construction, collapse, and regeneration.
It unfolds across a reflective plane where eclectic objects coexist:
miniature colonnades, arches, beaded forms, and
fragments of classical ornament.

Falling Follies treats play as a fundamental cultural act,
one capable of generating alternative systems
of meaning. The work reimagines worldbuilding not
as the construction of order, but as a process of
playful entropy: worlds emerging through
imbalance, excess, and constant reconfiguration.
